I honestly don’t know much about horses, but I’m fascinated with these stunning animals.

At one time, along with donkeys, they were integral participants in daily life here in rural Ireland.

This lovely steed posed for me one misty November morning in the hills above Lissycasey, County Clare, back in 2014.
